Don't let first appearances dismay you. Being located next to the Hell's Angels local chapter almost guarantees your security. Plus the wide frontage of the renovated building offers easy off street parking. The decor is basic and functional. A wide selection of Japanese dishes is offered in addition to the many varieties of Sushi. Attractively priced luncheon specials are offered along with reasonably priced Bento B... This small family-owned restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and attentive service. They serve fantastic fresh sushi and sashimi. I visit frequently as it has become my go-to spot; a true hidden gem.

Im not sure whats going on here because when i look at the rating it says 2.8 out of five. I cant see how thats possible. This is the absolute best sushi place in coquitlam . Ive been three times now and everything ive tried has been absolutely great. The prices are reasonable and the place is clean and inviting.  The owner margaret is warm and friendly.  The food is on par with what you would expect if someone invited you into thier home and prepared a meal for you.  <br/  Theres a lot of competition for this kind of food in the area but, every single one of the other places dosent come close.<br/  I tried one of thier cutlets . I was blown away. It was huge and everything was perfect. Crunchy and filled with real mozzarella  cheese. The sashimi is wonderful and even the miso soup is special. <br/   I am also impressed with how the food is plated . I normally couldn't care less about this but, it is clear someone is taking pride in thier work.. if you live in coquitlam or even if you don't you should patronize rhis restaurant.  They have some extremely great specials right now. Just go and see for yourself.   I see no reason to go to any other sushi place anymore . I love this place

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was initially hesitant due to some average reviews, but I soon realized that it was all because of one person's negative review on a small dish. At $4, the quality of the gomaae was excellent. The establishment was clean with a pleasant atmosphere, and we were promptly seated with attentive service throughout our meal. Our server was constantly refilling our drinks and clearing away dishes. The prices were reasonable, and we ordered a variety of dishes including karaage, takoyaki, New Orleans roll, New York roll, chicken avocado salad, and Speed roll. When the food arrived, I was impressed by the presentation and attention to detail. The flavors were fantastic, with a unique selection of rolls that tasted fresh. The only thing I would have preferred is boneless karaage in the traditional Japanese style. Overall, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant as it has quickly become my favorite sushi spot in the Coquitlam area.

I have been ordering takeout from this restaurant on a weekly basis. They have a wide variety of items on their menu. I have always been happy with the food and service, and I will continue to eat there. The staff is friendly and cheerful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I happened to live near by, so I walked in not expecting too much. I was pleasantly surprised. I've been a bit of sushi geek, so I've been to every sushi restaurant in Coquitlam. I dare say this place is one of the best. Their sushi is good, but what's really impressive is that everything else they make are also fantastic.<br/ <br/ Their miso soup is undoubtedly the best I've ever had, and they particularly do great fried dishes. They once gave me chicken karaage for bonus, and the tezture rivaled amazing thai chickem I had at the river market.Crunchy and light.<br/ <br/ I usually order nigiri sushi, so to be frank that's pretty similar wherever I go,but when I ordered the box set that's where I was surprised. It's very rare to find a restaurant that does every item well- from fried stuff to rolls and broth, and this place does just that.<br/ <br/ I highly recommend their tonkatsu- better than specialty tonkatsu restaurants I've been to,and lunch/dinner box sets. I also like Mexican roll, because I like Jalepeno. Beware though, their spicy pork/chicken is really spicy. Nice sweet, spicy, but it packs a punch.<br/ <br/ Portions are on the fairly large side, but it's not as big as Sushi California's. The price is reasonable. I had cheaper, but compared to competition around the area -Narita sushi(Good but expensive) or I Love Sushi(Average sushi). Everything on the menu is about $2-3 dollars cheaper than Narita. Rolls are smaller than Narita's too, but I think Buzza sushi's portion size is just enough.<br/ <br/ They also have specials often. Their lunch is 7-10 dollars range while their dinner sets are between 12-15. I think a meal at this restaurant is a nice small splurge.
