Great restaurant at the end of an outdoor Korean mall (Hanin Village). Don't get fooled by the location it is a little hard to find while it is located at the end of a mall. This restaurant's food is great and the portions are generous....My meal could easily feed 2 people. Highly recommend if you are in Coquitlam. Service super fast!!! Nice and spicy you'll need a lot of napkins as your nose will drip! Lots of varie... View all feedback.
What Adriel Littel doesn't like about Bbong Coquitlam:
We came for lunch and were disappointed to receive only 3 dishes for our ban chan, instead of the usual 4-5 at other restaurants. The mul man doo dumplings were delicious, filled with tasty pork. The spicy squid dish was very rubbery and lacked depth of flavor, with only a one-note spiciness. The fried chicken, the restaurant's specialty, was a large portion (we took half home), but the sauce lacked flavor beyond swe... View all feedback.

I recently went with my family, it has average service, food took average time to come out, everything about this place is pretty average. Everything except the food! Food is great, it has a variety of soups, rice, and noodles. Would definitely recommend it!
Bbong is the newest restaurant addition to Coquitlam's Hanin Village, and we tried it for the first time, for dinner one evening last week. The restaurant is located on the H-Mart supermarket side of the Village, at the corner at back. We arrived at 5:30 pm, were welcomed upon entry, shown to a booth, and provided menus and a large carafe of cold water and glasses. The restaurant was clean, neat and tidy. It has a variety of options when it comes to seating arrangements - open booths on one side, enclosed (walled) booths on the other side (for small and large groups), and tables with chairs in the central area (which can be moved together to provide seating arrangements for smaller-sized groups). One of the open booths was perfect for us, and provided a nice view of what was happening throughout the restaurant.Service to our table was friendly and helpful (especially appreciated when it came to pursuing the menu, and making a final decision on 'what', and 'how much' to order). We (couple) ordered and shared the following:- #46 - steamed dumplings (Jjin mandu) -- and #64 - stir-fried seafood and vegetables (Pal bo chae).- provided side dishes - potato, tofu & onion 'salad', kimchi. The dumplings + stir-fry made a fine combination - the dumplings provided a rice/noodle substitute, plus, added a little meat and to the totally seafood and veggie main dish. It was an appealing, good-looking presentation. The banchan, though quite simple, added a tasty touch. The dumplings were good - coverings, thin, moist, and tender, and ingredients within, moist and tasty. The ingredients of the stir-fry - shrimp (a few large, many small ones), a few mussels (in the half shell, 'the' best I've tasted outside of PEI), many pieces of squid and octopus, sliced mushrooms (large and small varieties), sliced green and red bell peppers, several pieces of small, sweet corn, slices of carrot and onion, and a wonderful, tasty (mildly spiced) sauce - so well-prepared, with everything (all seafoods 'and' veggies) cooked just right. A major yum!! We much-enjoyed the food, and total dining experience at Bbong, and were so happy to have chosen it for dinner that evening - a return visit some time soon we hope.
They try to fulfill customer who may like Chinese or Korean food to make more business, but none of the products can satisfy these guests if they always dining at restaurant. They don't really like Chinese food. Korean food is good in noodle with soup only.
....any joint that has this on the menu can't be that bad right? The good:- prompt service- justifiable pricingThe meh:- a bit heavy handed in using white pepper ...- one more piece of meat would go a long way!Definitely not a place I'd crave to go...but at least I know it ain't that bad if I'm in the area
