I typically come around late May, and they usually d... read more I've visited McCarthy numerous times, but I've always missed this food truck. Why? Because I was too early. I typically come around late May, and they usually don't open until early June. However, it's absolutely worth waiting until early June just to eat here! Along with The Potato, Meatza offers not only some of the best food in McCarthy but arguably some of the finest in the entire state! Most of the dishes are Italian-inspired, all made by hand and utterly delicious. I tried the meatball sub, which is something I would normally never order, but since it’s their signature dish, I had to give it a shot. It was amazing, complemented perfectly by the pasta salad on the side. As an added bonus, the views from the picnic tables are unbeatable. This is undoubtedly the most scenic lunch you'll experience in Alaska.
