Best craft beer tasting room ever. From the music to the bartender/owner. Make sure to ask him if he has any craft wines if you're in town!
Great little brewery up in Copper Harbor. Still doing their best during Covid and serving up good beers.
I stopped in here as the family went nextdoor for ice cream and snacks (too bad they were closed). There were only 4 beers on tap, so I gave a random IPA a chance. It was really good, kicking off with a lot of flavor and not having an overwhelming hoppiness. It was really inexpensive also, I want to say maybe $3 before tip. If COVID weren't going on, it would be a pretty cool place to hang out for a drink.
We ordered a flight of everything available. I wouldn't call the beer bad, but if you don't like hops, you probably won't enjoy it. Each option was extremely hoppy. They do provide the IBU ratings (which is a nice touch), and according to the board, they range from a mild 30 to an outrageous 118. However, perhaps my judgment was clouded since this was the fourth brewery we visited that day, but it felt like all of their beers exceeded 50 IBU. Keep in mind that while IBUs are a measure of bitterness, factors like ABV also influence how the flavors are perceived. In short, if you love hoppy or bitter beers and ambiance isn't a priority for you, it might be worth the long trek up the peninsula to give this place a try.
