I really enjoy this place. We visited on Fat Tuesday and I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have a full menu available. However, the limited menu was quite good. The Hurricanes were decent, and the atmosphere was nice. I have no complaints from my previous visits when I wasn't a resident.
The food was excellent. The gumbo was wonderfully flavorful, and the duck wings were fantastic!
The service at the restaurant was excellent; all the staff members were very friendly and attentive. My tea was always refilled, which I appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed my dish, especially the fried chicken, which was perfectly cooked. It wasn't overly salty or seasoned, allowing the juicy flavor of the chicken to shine through. The gumbo was also quite tasty. However, there were a few hard, uncooked pieces of rice, which was a bit frustrating, but it didn't detract too much from the experience. Overall, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy some good Cajun cuisine.
