I absolutely loved my time there. Top employees, top customers, really good night. so often in these days they have a night out and there are problems, but in this night the owners and the staff were immense and the customers were all brilliant. will definitely be the 3 hours trip again a bit time soo View all feedback.

The same crowd frequents this bar. It has a bit of a rough vibe but it's okay when you're drunk and passing by later in the night. The prices are reasonable.
The black bull is actually no longer a restaurant and has been taken over for a while as just a pub, i am a local, and along with all of my friends this is the pub we call our local and usually end up here all of the time, also wouldn’t have it any other way, staff are brilliant and the whole Egremont community gets along and drinks together !
We were the only two people in for around half hour about 9.30 on a Friday night. There was no conversation from the bar staff and although refurbished, not a friendly or nice place, we haven't been back,and are not likely too. Lager wasn't very nice either.
The bartender was uninformed about the drinks being served, particularly the opaque real ale. Unfortunately, she had no support or guidance from management and had to leave the bar to purchase a bottle of lemonade. The venue had a nice modern decor but lacked atmosphere, with rowdy customers swearing frequently.
