great food. a tad expensive. but they get what they pay for. this is the only Chinese in whitehaven that has not accepted the plastic containers to serve food. all other Chinese have and even though they get a little more food the quality of food is not up to par. oriental house still uses the tin foiled container and eating is excellent. What TheBloodhound doesn't like about Oriental House:
My hot sour soup starter was A1! Lovely one of the best I've had. But then came my King Prawn Udon noodles. I've never had anything so salty! He clearly didn't taste it before it came out. Also for 4 people it came to £84 which I think is a little pricey. It must've been the drinks as I think my food came to £11. Cans or bottles. No ales. Poor drinks to be honest. Warm beer. Eating was okay, but very expensive compared to most chinese in the environment. chow my was nice, but huh in the curry was very gristy and funny textured.
Yummy fish and chips, best in whitehaven in the did. really good portions to eat in the rule for 2 days!

This Chinese takeout is excellent, perhaps the finest in Whitehaven. While a bit pricier than some other options, the quality justifies the cost. The establishment is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious.
This takeout restaurant has been a staple in Whitehaven for many years. The food is tasty and the service is top-notch. A great spot to check out.
