This place got me hooked w a firey little sandwhich called the firehouse ita unique and is super delish!!!! If your a foodie and love to explore new flavors this place is def for you. The owner sat down and had a concersation with me even trough his busy day. I dont often write reviews but i have to give credit where credit is due!!!! What User doesn't like about Silver Skillet:
We tried this place again. First time they never spoke to us or waited on us. This time, it was similar. No one was friendly to us, except the two gentlemen outside that didn't work there. I'm not sure if they don't like our looks or think we are someone we aren't. But they are flat out hateful to us. Why? I don't get it. We have never been treated like this before. Awesome breakfast and fantastic small town atmoshere!
Great food!!! Sweet people. The chicken and Dressing was awesome and the mashed potatoes were yummy.
OK service if they are busy I'm not in a rush either way but it's a nice quite café just the way I like it has some great food to choose from breakfast or lunch
Tonight, I was torn between fish and Mexican food, and I ultimately chose fried fish—what a great decision! It was the BEST fried catfish I've had in ages. The coleslaw was on point, and the beans and fries complemented the meal perfectly. The sweet tea was just right, too. My only issue was that after I received my plate, the waitress didn’t check back in with me. I could have easily used another tartar sauce and a tea refill. Overall, though, the meal was absolutely AWESOME!
This is a truly great place to eat! It has a warm, inviting atmosphere and serves delicious home-cooked meals. The catfish served on Fridays is fantastic!
