Si Suphan - Coolum Beach
Si Suphan
Description
Si Suphan is a rural village in Thailand where my culinary journey began. After fourteen years in Australia, I am excited to open my third restaurant. The menu is a fusion of my favorite dishes from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and traditional Thai cuisine. Join us on the Coolum esplanade for fresh, fiery, and passionate food, or call ahead for pick up. We look forward to welcoming you! - Cheng Panis, Head Chef, Co-owner.
Feedback
I tried the Nasi Goreng at this restaurant and it was amazing. The price was very reasonable and I couldn't find any faults with the meal. Anyone in Coolum should definitely give this place a try.
Enjoyed a tasty delicious meal of chicken and rice with my wife for tea. Surrounds are very pleasant and the area highly recommended
This restaurant was highly recommended by locals so we were really excited. We were three families in two tables... 6 adults on one table and 6 kids on another. We gave the waiter really clear requests... Children were to be served first. We even placed the take orders separately to be clear. Unfortunately after one hour the children still had not received their main courses, and the adults had ask their mains (though the adults entrees came out twenty minutes after our mains). The most upsetting thing is that the management did bit seem to understand customer service and accept they had got it wrong. Instead they told us how busy they were that night (restaurant was half empty but perhaps it was take away?). Although food was mostly tasty, the overall experience was aggravating and disappointing.
The restaurant offers friendly service and delicious Asian fusion cuisine. The pad Thai is excellent, and I also enjoyed the honey chicken and special curry dishes.
On holidays @ sunshine coast we decided to try something different. Genuine asian cuisine. Menu was a combination of chinese, indonesian and thai food. Should be interesting. An hour after our order was taken, and other tables who ordered after us were served first, we received our meals. We had decided to order thai meals so as not to mix the flavours. The green chicken curry was decent and the pad siew was acceptable but the prawn dish was bizzare. Fried prawns on top of a curry type soup. Flavour was awful and combination was just wrong. The service to our table was terrible. The large table of people behind us who came and ordered after us were served all their meals before we were served any meals was infuriating! Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling to coolum.
