This shop was across the road from the hotel in which I was staying, and at first I didn't realise it supplied coffee as well as art :-) The owner works in one of the little shops, has a small gallery in the other, and sells great coffee out the front. Well worth stopping by for a flat white. View all feedback.
I came across this shop located just across the street from the hotel I was staying in. Initially, I was unaware that they also served coffee in addition to showcasing art. The owner operates one of the small shops and has a gallery in the other, while also selling delicious coffee at the front. I highly recommend stopping by for a flat white.
This iconic coffee shop is located just off the main street and retains a sense of the old Coolum before it was upgraded and gentrified. Joe runs an art gallery and picture framing business on the premises, but the most interesting part is the front veranda, which serves as his coffee shop. In addition to serving a delicious coffee, Joe is always ready for a friendly chat in a laid-back manner. While there are only biscuits available to eat with the coffee, the experience of sitting on the front bench, reading the daily paper, interacting with locals, and admiring the view of the main surfing beach makes this a unique experience in the area. Despite other businesses becoming larger, fancier, and quicker (with many coffee options nearby), Joe has maintained some of the relaxed charm that this surf beach had in years past. While you're there, you can also admire the great artwork by local artists.

The knowledge and guidance that was given about our cheap prints from a holiday turned into great pictures. hen advised the best way to do the frames went with that. Everybody now compliments us on them.
This iconic coffee shop is just off the main drag, and retains a bit of what Coolum used to be like before its upgrading and gentrification. Joe operates an art gallery and picture framing business onsite, but the most interesting part is the front verandah which is used as his coffee shop. As well as making a really great coffee, Joe is always up for a chat - in his lay back manner. There are only biscuits available with the coffee - no food as such, but the experience of sitting at the front bench, reading the daily paper, with locals walking by and chatting, and looking down over the main surfing beach, makes this experience unique in the area unfortunately. As other businesses have gone big, flash and fast (there are heaps of places serving coffee close by), Joe has managed to keep some of the relaxed flavour that this surf beach had not so many years ago. While you are there, you can check out the great art works by local artists too.
