Small scoops, soggy chips, understaffed, I got overcharged and horrible pizza (which cost $17.50)

Hmmm not muched has changed in the year by the looks of it.. over priced fish, yes it was fresh, but for the price i would expect more but thats what you can do when your the only ones here . Everything was really greasy, the fish, the potato fritters as if they were really over due for the vats to be changed. There was no salt on the chips but that could be anything from them choosing to be healthy, to forgetting. So everything that would cost on an aveage of $32, cost well over $50... will be cheaper to go across the fairy and get the same thing. So yhea dissapointed in this establishment.

Yes this place is slightly pricey but what do you expect in a town like Cooks Beach where the bulk of the business is summer only and the rest of the year customers are slim. These were some of the nicest chips I have had in a long time. Really well cooked and not too greasy. My kids are super fussy but both LOVED the kids burgers and I adored the chicken and Camembert burger which is actually cheaper than what I pay for it in Papakura and tastes much fresher. Customer service is great and food is prepared relatively quickly given how busy they get during peak times. I have eaten from here many times and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for something to eat in the area.
