I don’t give too many 5 stars but I was very impressed with Spankies. Sophie our waitress was amazing, very personable and happy to make sure everything was right. She alone was worth 5 stars. The drinks were generous. We both had the oriental salad. The salad seemed fresh with actual chicken breast, wontons and we added avacado. I highly encourage checking this place out. We will be back. What Leslie Rhoades doesn't like about Spankies:
I know that there are a lot of hood reviews on this place, but sadly for us, the food was bland and the atmosphere is confusing...old coke bottle and Asian inspired mirrors. I will not be back View all feedback.
I had to go here just because of the name and it was local place that I was happy to patronize. The food was pretty good although I have had better sirloin. The au jus sauce was excellent though. The staff was very nice and checked in often. I do recommend visiting this restaurant as I think they had many items on the menu that sounded really good. I do recommend if you are travelling through Cookeville to give this place a try Parking: Parking is just for customers no student parking as it's close to university.
This place is definitely worth a visit! Warm, friendly atmosphere and absolutely delicious meal.
Not at all wheelchair accessible, overpriced low quality food, and the owners are indifferent to harassment. A true embarrassment to
Summer 2024 They have an out of control rat problem that has been festering for months without concern. They finally got an exterminator but the problem is ongoing. They have cut the bad parts off of food that was gnawed on by rats and used sugar from a bin that had rat feces scooped from the top of the bin. The food is tasty. The service and atmosphere is good. It is not worth eating food contaminated with rat feces.
Our first visit was wonderful. The ambiance was fantastic. Service was so pleasant and accommodating. I'm planning a return trip soon. Worth a two hour drive!
