Contribute Feedback What Carly Fletcher likes about Big Bear Lodge And Cab:
10/10! We stayed in cabin #3 for three nights for our babymoon. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked, cabin has a beautiful view of the lake, has a private dock, and there is WiFi in the cabins and on the property. The owners are super personable and helpful, and you will be greeted by a heckin good doggo named Clarence when you arrive. The only “negative” thing I have to say is I wish the cabin had AC, however, there are several fans in the cabin. We will be back for many years to come!.

I stopped to chat about camping there as they have several camping spots. Owner was busy, the other owner seemed to not really want to help me out. Just pointed where the “spots” were and I took a walking tour myself. Sites were all gravel with just a couple trees between them. We just completed the Lake Superior Circle Tour and stayed at White Pine Lodge. This place has, by far, the best outhouse on the tour. It's luxurious, filled with great reading material, and even has a mirror—a nice touch after a week of camping. Plus, it smells fresh, like daisies. The pizza here is also fantastic; you can't go wrong with the meat lovers. If you're doing the Lake Superior Circle Tour, do yourself a favor and book a campsite at White Pine Lodge.
Only spent one night there but would go back for more. Room is nice, lodge is gorgeous, pizza was great. Owners are great people and are making this a top notch place. Their new wooden boat is beautiful disappointed we weren't there longer to take a ride in it. If you need a place to stay on the gunflint this is it.
We did not stay at the property but we rented a pontoon for the afternoon to go fishing. We enjoyed our time immensely! Poplar Lake is beautiful! And the pontoon was amazing- comfortable, clean, it had conveniences like a table and cup holders, a well as GPS and a depth finder. The property is gorgeous! The owners are so sweet! Would definitely recommend!
We've been going there for 8 years. It's so beautiful, and Gunflint Trail is my happy place.
Absolutely loved staying at White Pine Lodge. Can't wait to go back!
