The food was great value and delicious. I had the roasted vegetable salad, sweet potatoes chips and pulled pork taco. Loved it all. Plus 2 drinks and steamed veg and still under $50. Winning. Best bit of night was the live band downstairs in the bunker. Cool View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Coogee Diggers:
I want here last night to meet up with friends. I ordered a burger which was really nice good. My friend ordered schnitzel and it was not good. nothing to rave about eating here. View all feedback.
First time at the bistro last night and we were really disappointed by how dirty the place was. Our toddler was given a cup with lipstick still on it. The tables, cutlery and floor were all dirty too. We ordered food and it the quality was really poor. The risotto had no taste and the tacos were stale. I don't write this to throw shade, but rather in the hope that a venue can achieve its potential to be great.
Management forgot to put staff on the down stairs bar… so I served myself.. Not good… sort it out Coogee diggers… I love this place Last night, No security on the place, and a guy runs around the place with his genitalia hanging out… don’t bring you missus here when it’s busy.. The band playing said they’ll never play there again as they feared for their safety…
Good food. Good drink. But everytime I ask for something at the bar I feel like I have to apologise. Good customer service wouldn’t go a miss from 80% of bar staff.
$12 dinner of fish and chips with home made tartare sauce, absolutely beautiful. Friendly staff and locals.
Great evening in this warm (emotionally physically) and welcoming place. There is a large function room, pub, bistro area, and a great beer garden. Exciting Friday specials: accoustic music, live music downstairs, 2 for 1 steaks, house wines and... meat raffle! I love a meat raffle. The staff was friendly, the food good, and the wine delicious we had the Rolf Binder Shirax from the Barossa Valley to accompany our rump steaks. I ordered medium rare, but it was more medium than rare.
