What User doesn't like about Coogee Common:
I've visited this restaurant several times, but I've noticed that the portion sizes have become absurdly small. It seems like they’re trying to encourage customers to order more. This is particularly disappointing since they’ve also removed the roast potatoes dish from the menu. View all feedback.
The absolute best. Feels like home. Food is 11/10. Staff 14/10. Thank you guys!
We were invited to a friend's birthday party with a set menu. Food was delicious and the place was great. However we couldn't enjoy our meal and socialize as there were no high chairs for our 2 year old and 10 months old to sit and eat properly. We had to put them on our lap and wrestled throughout the whole 3 hour event.
Lunch today with a dear friend. We ate delicious food from shared plates.Excellent service. Not overbearing and superbly efficient with good timing of food delivery. We were seated, as I requested when booking on line, with a delightful garden view. In addition to the good service, whilst there were parents dining with young children, there was very little noise and thank you Coogee Common, no loud music. A thoroughly enjoyable luncheon.
My wife, a friend, and I had dinner at Coogee Common last night. It was the first time I'd been there and was seriously looking forward to it.The food was 5 out of 5, impossible to fault. The service though was frankly very poor indeed. The staff were totally polite but the service was so embarrassingly slow to the point were my wife, who had recommended we eat there, was apologising to us and was clearly upset. It would have been unacceptable at a Saturday evening peak, but we were booked in at 8PM on a Thursday. As the situation stands I for one would never recommend Coogee Common to anyone else and doubt I'll be eating there again.A year latter and I'm actively recommending against going to Coogee Common.
Had lunch here yesterday. Fantastic food and even better service from our waitress who's name I did not get. We were a group of 7 people and ordered share plates for the table for everyone to share. The menu lends itself to share plates rather than a plate of food in front of each person. I am not normally a fan of this as I prefer to order my own plate of food. It seems like everything on the menu is made in house and grown in their own gardens outside which you can see from inside the restaurant and walk through. Was an expensive lunch by the time all these share plates were added up but I feel it was worth it. A long way from Joondalup where I live so not sure if or when I'll get back down there but I do recommend checking it out for groups if you like share and grazing plates. The interior fitout is very earthy with recycled wood and feature concrete walls and windows to the outside gardens. Candles around the dining room make it feel homely and inviting. The Garden Negroni was an excellent cocktail. Its a great looking venue inside.
