Excellent food. We really enjoyed our evening. But lucky that we were not in a hurry. The service was a bit slow, but a very relaxing evening in a nicely furnished contemporary place.Nice staff and some of them were Welsh speaking as well. Diolch.Reasonably priced food, and a bilingual wine list. Very impressive!Plenty of choice of curry on a Friday night either with chips or rice or even half and half. Only £8.95.I... What DC018 doesn't like about Glan:
We were looking for a meal without any planning and found the two steak meals for £20 an interesting prospect, the food turned out to be, cooked as requested, reasonably well presented, perhaps a little lacking in atmosphere, but that was not a big issue. The offer was good value and seemed to be very popular. View all feedback.
Two steaks and a bottle of wine £20.00 that's cheap, been there, done that very nice good food wine ok but what do you expect for £20.00
We've been dining here as a larger group, which was a lot of fun, however it took over 45min for the food to come out. As I'm not into the typical english pub food, I've ordered a mushroom risotto. I've actually counted 10 small pieces of mushrooms and the rest was only a salty rice. No mushroom flavour whatsoever. Extremely disappointed as it took ages to get the food and then when you're really hungry, you get something what doesn't even taste good at all. Wouldn't recommend to someone who cares about a good and tasty food.

We called in as we were staying at the Riverside caravan site. The price for a main course of Sunday lunch is £8.95 and you can add starters and desserts to that if you desire (and I recommend that you do! . We had a short wait for a table so had a drink in the nicely refurbished bar area, there's also a lounge area if you prefer. When we walked in we were welcomed warmly which is always a bonus, and after our drink we were shown into the dining room which is nicely decorated, traditional but also clean and fresh. After perusing the menu, we ordered and the food duly arrive. Both starters, pate and garlic mushrooms were excellent and we'll presented. The mains were equally as good, with my beef being nicely pink and my partners lamb the same, portion size was excellent. The mains came with mashed and roast potatoes, along with a good, perfectly cooked selection of vegetables. We decided to have dessert and both the creme brulee and whatever my partner had(I've forgotten! were both great ringing the meal to a happy conclusion. Must mention the staff who were smiley and chatty, both in the bar and the restaurant, good staff really make a difference, and the ladies and gents concerned really added to the ambience. If you're in the area, I'd highly recommend this establishment, food is excellent and there's a nice atmosphere. We were hoping to go back for their steak night (two steaks and all the trimmings plus a bottle of house wine for£20 ,but sadly time ran away with us and we didn't get there, but we will return!
Two visits for evening meals here and one afternoon reception impressed us with the quality of the food, reasonable prices of drinks and most of all the pleasant service, especially Sam behind the bar.
