Was Anonym at Abbasi’s Indian a mag?
We had an excellent meal here this evening, the added bonus was that we were able to take our dog in as well. We all very much enjoyed our meals but I think my butter paneer was possibly the best curry I had ever tasted. We are visiting the area but if we were more local we would definitely visit again. What Anonym dislikes about Abbasi’s Indian:
Intra-racial discrimination at its finest? I was turned away from this restaurant because I was told they were accepting reservations only, despite more than half the tables being empty. This was around 8.00 pm on a Wednesday. The explanation didn 't add up. After having dinner elsewhere (Hangin ' Pizeria and had a great dinner-welsh rebbit) I returned out of curiosity at 8.45pm and counted roughly 40 empty seats out... View all feedback.

The kitchen is excellent and the korma here is one of the best I ever had! Don’t miss out! I went back and the next meal was just as good.

Worst biryani I have ever had. Don't waste your time in this tourist trap. Absolutely awful. All rice, minimal meat. The vegetable curry was just gravy. No vegetables at all. Don't waste your money.

I visited this restaurant tonight and was pleased with the vegan menu selection. While there weren't many options, there were enough choices to choose from. The restaurant was empty, which was not surprising for a Tuesday in March. The chef came out and was accommodating, offering to make changes to the menu if desired. I opted for the vegetable dish but requested for it to not be too spicy. It arrived with some heat, but thankfully not overly spicy.
The restaurant offers a wonderful variety of perfectly cooked vegan dishes. While the dips for the poppadoms could use improvement, this is just a minor critique. The Dhal was delicious and a great side dish. The Bombay Potatoes were the best I've had. (Updated review as of August 16, 2022)
