Wunderbus - Conway
Wunderbus
Description
Maria Theresa emerges as Conway’s essential farm-to-table destination, blending meticulous, locally sourced cooking with warm, attentive service. The menu—featuring inventive dishes from stuffed squash and spaetzle to a praised poutine and Wunderburger—pairs well with local ciders and a well-stocked bar. Guests enjoy a charming patio with live entertainment and a lively, bustling atmosphere; brunches are a standout. Expect a relaxed, premium experience rather than a quick meal, with occasional minor drawbacks like wobbly patio tables and street/train noise.

Maria Theresa is a must-visit—you can thank me later! It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about a restaurant. The care and attention to detail in each dish are truly impressive. The service was exceptional, too.
I don't usually hand out five-star reviews, but this restaurant genuinely deserves it. As the son of a well-respected chef, I tend to be quite discerning when it comes to food and dining experiences. However, the meal I had here was among the best I've had in the twenty-five years since my father passed away. If you’re in search of quality, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients, this place is a must-visit. It has officially become my new favorite restaurant in Conway!
I absolutely love this restaurant! Morgan was an incredible server. The ambiance has a charming farm-to-table bistro feel. We started with the pepppercini and cheese dip, which was served with a wonderful assortment of celery, carrots, toast rounds, and flax chips. The dip was savory and creamy—a real delight. For my main course, I chose the Sir Albert Howard, featuring squash stuffed with wine-braised chicken, onion aioli, and artichokes. The flavors were bold and truly exceptional! The Immigrant dish was delicate and delicious, sweet but not overpowering. The brisket was perfectly tender, and the spaetzle was both soft and delightful. The Maria Theresa was rich and creamy, with a lovely hint of sweet cheese. They also had an excellent selection of locally sourced ciders and beers. Plus, there was live entertainment on the patio! This isn’t a quick meal, but the premium dining experience is definitely worth the extra time.
First visit was NYE brunch. There's no place in Conway that has a brunch like this. Everything we ordered was over the top delicious. Unique creations, variety, and good service considering how packed they were. I understand that previous brunch endeavors were not as successful, but they've really stepped it up this time around. That being said, probably better to get there earlier in the day (if going for brunch).
I enjoyed myself! The food was good and it was nice to sit out on the patio out front. Each table there has a bit of a wobble but didn't ruin the experience. A little noisy with the hustle and bustle of Conway and the train but exactly what you'd expect. Recommend the Wunderburger. It was delicious and very fresh tasting. Wait staff was friendly and although I didn't eat inside, I went inside first and saw that the restaurant looked very clean and interesting... I'd love to try sitting at the bar next time.
