REGRETS! REGRETS! REGRETS! I REGRET not trying Shine Cafe before June ‘22. Sadly I am moving out of the area and won’t have my favorite restaurant a few miles away. I REGRET not being able to try EVERYTHING on the menu. I am 6 out of 6 for choosing something on the menu that I loved. I REGRET that I won’t have the most awesome staff EVER to serve me a meal. I REGRET I won’t be around to see the unveiling of local artists paintings, jewelry and more every two months in the eclectic environment of Shine. If you have to have regrets mine are the kind to have. Leslie, the proud owner and chef of thisrestaurant has nailed it! The menu at Shine has something for everyone. From the tasty twist of using her bisque as the ‘gravy’ on her Shrimp and Grits, to my favorite charred greens, I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. That includes the sampling of other menu items that my companions ordered. The prices are good and the portions are generous. And did I mention the desserts?!? I must confess and say that I have never been able to veer from ordering the most wonderful cheesecake I have ever put in my mouth. Luckily my friends have allowed me to sample their desserts and I have always been impressed! The staff of Shine is outstanding also. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a smile. The waitstaff are knowledgeable, pleasant and most importantly patient for people like me who have a hard time choosing what to order. You can tell they really like where they work! I have yet to visit the restaurant without Leslie or the hostess coming by the table to ensure that my dining experience is the best it could be!The display of local artisans’ work in the lobby and throughput the restaurant is difficult to pass by without a purchase. I am the proud owner of jewelry, a couple of paintings and notecards just to name a few.If you are looking for a delicious meal and an opportunity to support a local business, go to Shine Cafe. I promise you won’t REGRET it!!!l
What a cute place! Everyone in the staff was super friendly, they even gave my son a bag of toys to play with. Was pleasantly surprised to see they had live music at 11am on a Saturday. The food was really tasty, delicious coffee and a cute little shop. Gorgeous trees outside and adorable outdoor seating as well. If we are ever in the area again we’ll be back! Service: Dine in
We had the best experience at this restaurant. The G.Mgr, Elizabeth and the owner, Leslie were so friendly and helpful and gave me a history lesson of the restaurant. The Asian slaw was wonderful. The Tuscan sandwich with grilled chicken was wonderful. All of the staff treated you with much kindness. They went out of their way for us.
Best restaurant ever. Simple home cook meal. Had quiche Delicious Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Food and service were wonderful today. My wife even placed a to go order to have for dinner this evening. Only suggestion would be to pick through the crab meat a bit better when preparing the soup. Ran across some small bits of shell here and there but regardless the entire experience was still a 10 out of 10 !
