The new owners, Dakota and Jessica Smith, have rebranded the business as Smith's Slaughterhouse. Dakota, a skilled butcher with 8 years of experience, previously held the position of head butcher at Converse Meats before working at Brookshire grocery store. Despite any negative reviews from the previous owners, Dakota and Jessica are dedicated and honest individuals who are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. Give Smith's Slaughterhouse a chance to demonstrate their excellent service.

It seems like they have a new... read more We had a great experience the first time we used this restaurant to process our beef, however, our recent visit was disappointing. It seems like they have a new butcher who is still learning the ropes as the cuts of meat were terrible. I won't be returning and will be taking my business to Unruh in Derrider instead. The meat was cut incorrectly and I didn't receive what I asked for. I do not recommend this place at all.

Although I can't prove it definitively, it seemed suspicious to me. Additionally, the steaks and fillets I received were not the sizes I requested. The steaks were closer to 3/4 inch and the fillets may have been only 1 inch. I do not recommend this restaurant. We chose them because they were the only option available for our meal, but we will not be returning. Save yourself the frustration.

I... read more The first time we visited this restaurant to have our beef prepared, we received excellent service. However, when we returned this year, we were disappointed. It seems they no longer have their skilled butcher, as the person currently cutting the meat must be an inexperienced apprentice. The meat cuts were of poor quality. I will not be returning and will be taking my business elsewhere. The meat was improperly sliced and not as requested. I highly advise against dining at this establishment.
