Amazing food, amazing wine. Very decent prices compared to the food's value!!! Some waiters aren't Romanians but we appreciate a lot the fact that they know lots of words in Romanian and try their best to make sure everything is well! View all feedback.
What Andreea A doesn't like about Portobella Piscina Lounge Boutique:
This place is so extra the decorations are a baroque concoction. The food is good, with an over average presentation, but could taste better. The waiter was very nice. View all feedback.
Had lunch there with the family. It's off a random dirt road. Not so easily accessible and of course little to no parking. Decor is a little over the top...going for the Roman palace theme. Food is over prices for the quality. You are better off eating on the boardwalk in Mamaia.
We only ate at the restaurant and did not stay at the hotel. The experience was pretty average. The place looks like a playboy mansion wannabe with really gaudy decor. Even with the roof open it was really hot inside, we were wiping our sweat with napkins. The biggest problem was the scallops on the menu were actually mussels, this was a bit of a surprise when they came out. But none of the meals bar the burger were very satisfying. For the price you're better off eating at Oneiro just down the road.
An absolute delight! Everything was super! From the incredibly delocious food, the sweet and smooth atmosphere to the impeccable service. I really recommend this place!
Incredible location, not easy to find, but when you do, get ready to be treated like a Roman God......... Everything is over the top (and the service) but the price is very affordable........ I'm definitely coming back ........... The food is a bit bland, although the presentation is impeccable. I've tried a few of their selections and have reached this conclusion....... you definitely won't find Jamie Oliver, or Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen. But I'd still bring a date here.
Receptionist very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast tasty Property management very friendly and helpful. Even if the restaurant was not officially open for the new season, he cooked dinner for us. We booked the largest and expensive room especially for the big bathtub, but we couldn’t use it because the lack of hot water!!! We took showers only with warm weather, but the warm water was available every 30mins, so we were forced to do shifts to take a shower... great!!! Rooms with shower were 30€/night cheeper. Very uncomfortable bed!!! Toilet paper every 3 days... I suppose this means economy.. but, when you pay the room 130€/night, I can ensure you this is not funny at all!!! Last day breakfast very disappointing The yogurt was rotten and stick to the jar Salad fruits rotten as well. A 4* hotel with: No hairdrayer Holes in the towels No elevator No toilet brush Empty soap dispenser No bathrobe for the pool The most unpleasant experience ever! I can’t understand how this hotel is rated 5* in this conditions. I suppose there are feedback only from property owners family and friends..
