Whether you're in need of a snack, meal or just drinks and some laughs, this is the place to be! Great stop if you're on the trails (snowmobile or UTV), or just out for a drive! Recommend Keewanau on tap, awesome soups, and chicken pot pie!Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What LarBear Grizzly doesn't like about Bauer's Dam:
Parking is a problem with an automobile during snowmobile season.Prices a bit high for the small quantities of food and off brand root beer. The chicken pot pie is a misnomer, pita bread atop thick chicken soup.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.
This is a cozy, family-owned bar and resort. We drove from Phelps to try something different. The place is small, featuring only four indoor tables and a patio. Fortunately, we were able to snag a table. You order at the bar. We tried the cheese curds, which were more like cheese cubes, along with some garlic bread. They were tasty—nothing extraordinary, but definitely good. The kids liked them. The pizza was also quite good, and we took some home with us. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant boasts a stunning location with a picturesque view of the lake. The drinks are fantastic—don’t miss the local specialty, the Old Fashioned made with brandy. The cheese curds are outstanding, and everyone left satisfied with their meals.
The food is consistently excellent—fresh and served hot! The service is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. I highly recommend it!
Owners were very nice, but food in my opinion was VERY EXPENSIVE. Hamburger and fries was , nothing special about the burger, it was a standard maybe 1/4 to 1/3 pound burger with just lettuce, tomato and onion. I had a beer and my wife had ice tea, each ice tea refill was 2.50, it was medium size glass filled with ice, three refills maybe equaled full glass of tea, so the tea charge was 7.50. It was ok, but would think twice about going back.
First time snowmobiling and it was an awesome day. We skidded to Bauer's Dam and it was oacker with a middle aged ruckus fun crowd having a great time. My chili was good, root beer cold, and i had a great time
