What Scott Brabson doesn't like about Oyama Sushi Ramen:
Very kind staff. Very expensive subpar sushi and rolls. Ordered some sashimi (mackarel, yellow fin), tuna was ok, mackarel was dry and so sad. Rolls for the niece's birthday. So small, so sad. But hey, she loved it! Walked away having eaten very little, having spent $120 for two, and having to deal with stomach issues that night.I did not try the ramen, maybe that's better. Pretty decent food and prices are what 's to be expected up here, a little on the higher side. My only complaint is that the salad is really wet . Like, not well drained lettuce, but fresh.Parking: Parking is sometimes full in front of the restaurant.
I eat here all the time, and every time is amazing! I absolutely love the food. Everything is fresh and timely. I've ordered to go and stayed for dinner on multiple occasions. All of my experiences so far have been wonderful! The service and food are absolutely worth every penny. ^ ^Thank you, Oyama Sushi Ramen!
Great spot, great staff, great food! Not expecting amazing sushi in a mountain town but they really do deliver and are consistent. If you're in the area I would highly recommend trying it out.
Friendly service and excellent sushi. Wish there was a better selection of wine but the beer is good.
The staff was very friendly, but the sushi and rolls were overpriced and disappointing. I ordered sashimi (mackerel and yellowfin), and while the tuna was acceptable, the mackerel was dry and disappointing. We got rolls for my niece's birthday, but they were tiny and underwhelming. On the bright side, she enjoyed them! However, we left having eaten very little for $120 for two and ended up with stomach issues that night. I didn't try the ramen, so perhaps that's better.
