The place gave me a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of 80s diners. It was cozy, the tables wobbled a bit, and the color scheme had an old-school charm. The food was excellent, offering breakfast and lunch at any hour. The banana walnut pancakes were outstanding. I enjoyed a Cobb salad at 10 a.m., and I almost licked the plate clean!
It was an average dining experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were friendly. Although the space was small and a bit cramped, it had a nice vibe. There were many children present who seemed to enjoy themselves. The food wasn't anything extraordinary, but it was decent enough.
It's a diner but it doesn't have an enormous menu. My cobb salad was good, but it wasn't anything overly tasty. It strikes me as the type of place to go for breakfast and probably skip for lunch.
I guess you can say I 'm biased and blessed at the same time. It 's within walking distance of my house and it 's my go to place to eat because it 's so close. I think I 'm there at least once a week. However, with that said the food is really good to. As is the staff. I think they make the food taste better simply because they make you feel so comfortable there. I 've made it the place where they know my name lol. The food tastes more homemade than other diners and they have a better variety in my opinion. So if you 're looking for a nice small town diner with good eats and good people, Congers diner is where you should go and try it out for yourself.
