Really dope new spot in Grant Park, the Beacon! We sipped and hookah, and enjoyed great music. It is a bit cramped, reservations are required during nighttime peak hours. And there is a two hour table limit. Although we had a great time, it gets way too crowded for the space. I would recommend holding people at the door when the bar is at capacity.Stop by and have a libation. Let them know #RealtorRob with Keller Wil... View all feedback.
What Christopher Griffin doesn't like about Parkside Kitchen Cocktails:
The good very Nice DJ and bar area. The bad terrible food and watered down drinks Demographic mostly black which always cool to fellowship with people but some folks are look like walked off street and were dressed tacky; perhaps they should have dress code. Bottom line I would not recommend this restaurant. I give can provide with bunch alternative black restaurants and lounges with better food, ambiance and drinks. View all feedback.
Always a great time at Buteco.Caipiriñas, Tacos, House Music, Vibes. What else do you need
A friend of mine had her birthday dinner here on a Friday night. Service was sporadic, as there were only two waitresses servicing the indoor dining area. As we were leaving the restaurant we were aggressively accosted by security in a dark hallway and told we couldn’t leave because the negligent waitress who didn’t check the table after our departure accused someone in our party of not paying. After being held hostage for 5+ minutes by security and the owner who told us our “money was no longer welcome there “ the waitress came out and confirmed that cash had been left in the table for the tab in question and that everyone in our party had, in fact, paid. I guess our money was welcome since no one offered a refund after the all the embarrassment and false accusations. Other than that, Don’t sit in the back corner of the dining area unless you want staff walking past you to empty garbage cans (with no trash bags) full of waste while you eat. Giving two stars because the scallops were decent.
My reservation was for 3:15. Ordered my food by 3:25 and food came out at 4:43. It doesn't take over an hour to make chicken and waffles. Then the waffles were either under cooked or just nasty. I definitely won't be back. I'm still sitting here waiting on my check. Waste of my time!

The vibes were great, as there was comfortable space for the parties around me to converse, as well as impressive TVs to keep a solo diner such as myself entertained.Chyna provided excellent service, giving plenty of great recommendations and actively communicating throughout my meal. The catfish and fries were an excellent plate, highlighted by a charred lemon that really made it pop.Eddie the manager was also very present on the floor, and looked out by charging my phone enough that I could leave this review!
