What a neat little spot! We visited on a rainy weekday had the place to ourselves, so service was five stars from the get go. Once the word gets out about the steamed mussels, tho- I don't think the place will ever be empty! This is a unique space, kinda subterranean with the bar on a floating mezzanine, really cool. Everything we ate was fantastic, the drinks were delish. Can't wait for next time! View all feedback.
First time here!Because I came here on a Wednesday afternoon, my boyfriend and I were pretty much the only ones there. The place is kind of “obscure”. I just had to follow the signs through a short hallway of the building to get to the restaurant which was pretty easy to find. Our server was super friendly and helpful. Since it was our first time, he was very welcoming and offered to answer any questions we had. What we ordered—Cha Gio with mung bean (2.5/5): It was okay. It was savory and paired decently with the sweet sauce. Not bad but also nothing to rave about. I was very shocked to see that for $8 there was only 2 whole egg rolls (cut into four halves)! It’s a bit pricey for just 2 small rolls cut into halves in my opinion. I personally did not find it worth it at all. I don’t think I would order this again.Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi (5/5): I’m a vegetarian so I really enjoyed this!! It’s fried tofu made with lemongrass and herbs inside! I love also the sauce they drizzled on top! It was really good together with the tofu! The banh mi was perfectly toasted so when I took a bite, it gives that satisfying crispy crunch to it! Very flavorful and great tofu to bread ratio!! Usually some banh shops that I’ve visited would be very conservative with their protein amount so I’m very pleased that I was given big chunks! The tofu might look bland and basic in the picture but it’s actually so savory and tasty!!! Trust me!!Smoked Brisket Banh Mi: my boyfriend said that he really enjoyed it! The only critique he had would be that the brisket overpowered the herbs and pickled veggies, in terms of flavor, that were also in the banh mi.Overall our experience was positive!! We would definitely come again to try other items on the menu!!
Excellent service, music, and food! We LOVED the food. Some of the best we’ve had in Atlanta!
Delicious Asian fusion place on Ponce in the plaza across from the Kroger. It's spacious and has two floors which I would never have guessed from the outside. The decor is clean with beautiful art on the walls and the space is light and airy (lots of natural light). I ordered the dumplings (chicken), shrimp fried rice and papaya salad. And a Thai coffee with boba in it. The papaya salad was crisp, light and refreshing with just the perfect amount of salt from the fish sauce. There was also a beautiful and very satisfyingly crispy taro cracker that came with it that was a nice texture contrast. Best papaya salad I've had outside of Chicago's Asian food scene. The dumplings were melt in your mouth delicious. Perfectly seasoned and lots of basil. I inhaled them! The shrimp fried rice gave lots of big shrimps and was fresh and well seasoned. I love that they included fresh cut cucumbers on the top. Nice contrast with the cooked rice texturally. The drink was perfectly refreshing. When I came, they had only been open for a short amount of time (it was early in the day) so it wasn't busy. My waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive to me! I will absolutely be back.
Their lemongrass meat has more of a barbecue-y vibe to it, but it works great with the otherwise traditional sandwich. Can't wait to try their pho.
I got the chicken baos and they were pretty good ! Taking off a star as I think they are priced pretty high and it seemed like they might be a little short staffed ! There were only a couple people working so a lot of the tables weren't cleaned off. There were still available tables so it's fine but aesthetic wise didn't love all the tables stacked with dishes around us! But overall they have a pretty good patio area and then 2 levels on the inside! You order at the front and then they give you a number and bring your food out to you. Overall it was pretty good and I think I would be back!
