One of the best places to eat in Concord. Food is very fresh and authentic NEW LOCATION UPDATE 8/7/24 Mediocre food poorly now served in a Pub atmosphere. What used to be Concord's only moderately upscale restaurant has decided to lower their standards and Service. Smaller portions, long wait times and inexperienced Servers. Best off driving to the City for future Italian food. Plus, better invest in some acoustic Ai... View all feedback.
What Myranda Childress doesn't like about Gianni's Trattoria:
The food was okay. Service was awful. Waitstaff was rude and short with us. We don't eat alot so my boyfriend and I wanted to split a meal. Was told there was a five dollar charge to split a meal then when it came out the owner came over and berated us for sharing. This made both of us extremely uncomfortable. That alone set it that we will not return. View all feedback.
My family decided to have our wedding rehearsal dinner at Gianni’s. It did not disappoint! The food was top notch. The atmosphere was great! And the wait staff was good, although they had a few hiccups in the service. But we had a big party, so I don’t think I could really fault them. They did an amazing job over all. Gianni’s is definitely one of the better Italian restaurants I’ve been to in the greater Charlotte/Concord area!

What used to be Concord's only moderately upscale restaurant has decided to lower their standards and Service. Smaller portions, long wait times and inexperienced Servers. Best off driving to the City for future Italian food. Plus, better invest in some acoustic Aid, nobody likes yelling over dinner. Where is the charm? Parking: Massive remodeling project on Main Street. Might have to walk a block or two.
We have been such long time fans of this restaurant. So disappointed last night. I hope the owners read this and make necessary changes to reflect the high prices! We had a bill of $200 including a nice tip for 2 people. So we were expecting great service and fairness. We said we would split their most expensive entree on the menu although ordering many other things including drinks. The entree was small. It was not split in the kitchen at all. They just put another plate down and charged us $5 for that! I asked why and was told that’s just how it is! I had to ask several times to have someone wipe off the table as there was oil all over from the oil vinegar plate. And the salad. Served on a small plate so every bite the salad fell onto the table as the plate was too small. I guess we were both just bummed. It used to be our neighborhood lovely place to go. It feels like they want to be high scale now. Which is fine. But that means one needs to bring everything up. Train your servers what good service means. Teach them about wine so they have a basic understanding of what’s on your menu. And have a dessert list. People like to contemplate, not have them rattled off so quickly we had no idea what to order. I think they have enough patrons our review won’t mean much. I am hoping they pay attention to reviews like this since we are the people here for the long haul and have been for years.
