What Andre G doesn't like about Mai Thai 2:
The place is cozy and has plenty of parking. Service was friendly and timely. The food was aweful. Fried calamari was overfried and looks like they don't change the oil Tom Kha was ok-ish with just old mushroom chunks and huge pieces of bamboo shoots. Probably worst Tom Kha I've had ever. It's an easy shop to make so I wonder how they could mess it up like this. No tomatoes no onions, no cilantro. Pineapple Fried ric... View all feedback.

My husband and I recently relocated to Concord and stumbled upon this incredible Thai restaurant. We ordered green curry and duck fried rice, both of which were delicious. We will definitely be returning to sample more dishes. Service: Dine-in Meal Type: Lunch Average Price per Person: $10–20
I discovered this amazing Thai restaurant by chance! The crab noodles were out of this world, and my friend's pad see ew was my favorite dish. The Thai iced tea was deliciously sweet, enough to make anyone cringe. I loved the cozy atmosphere of this family-run restaurant, it reminded me of my childhood visits to Chinese restaurants.
Learn from my mistake. With the cost of living in California reaching frightening levels, we all dread shelling out eight dollars for a cup of Amy's frozen Mac n cheese. I thought I could save some money by getting an entree from a restaurant instead. However, after spending twenty dollars, I found myself regretting it. The red curry I ordered was disappointing. The tofu tasted like it had been marinated in soy sauce and deep-fried, resulting in a weird salty flavor. The rice seemed stale, possibly freezer burned, as it crumbled easily. The dish only had one small chunk of green pepper, two rubbery chunks of undercooked eggplant, and an overwhelming amount of soggy bamboo slices. It was disheartening to receive such a subpar meal for twenty dollars, especially when prepared by professionals. I wish I had just bought some apples and peanut butter instead. At least then I wouldn't have to stomach the soggy, flapping bamboo.
The food at this restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. The customer service is exceptional. The only downside is that the restaurant is small. It's best to arrive early if you want to dine here!
