Desk staff was friendly and sat me at my table. Ambiance was cozy, not too many people but still enough where there was a small amount of noise, not a big deal. My waitress was kind and helpful, answered my questions about the menu and wifi password. It only took me a few minutes to decided and I kid you not, the salmon entree with rice arrived just a few minutes later followed by my cocktail. Great portions, probabl... View all feedback.
What drifty2014 doesn't like about Liberty At The Colonial Inn:
Friday night reservations at 7:30. Our friends arrive at 7:30. Waiter is hovering to get a drink order. Brings the drinks and wants our order. When I tell him we want to catch up with our friends and enjoy our cocktails he tells us the kitchen is closing shortly. WTF! Friday night, at a hotel on a holiday weekend and the kitchen is closing at 8! First course comes and before it's finished the entrees arrive. Not much... View all feedback.
Had made a reservation 34 weeks in advance. Struggled to get a satisfactory table. Hostess was adamant about seating us in a corner in a back room. I expressed the desire to sit at another table but was refused even though there were several tables available in the outer room. After the hostess left us to either take the table or go elsewhere, I spoke to a wait staff person who noticed I was upset. She so graciously sat us at a table at outer room without hesitation. We did have an enjoyable early dinner only because the helpful wait staff person made us feel welcome and treated us as a valued customer. I add that while we had dinner in the outer room there were several free tables throughout our time in the restaurant.
A Holiday House tour tradition! The restaurant offerings include refreshing new cocktails and menu selections. The Elderflower Collins is a must! Kim,our server, was so congenial and as always- a delicious experience.
I met two friends for lunch and it felt like the quintessential New England setting, lovely wallpaper and quaint colonial architecture. The Cobb salad was delicious. Good service too.
You need to recruit a Lebanese or middle eastern person to teach you how to make Hummus...yours is bland and tasteless. it is easy to make in any blender type device and only a few ingredients, but you obviously have no clue as to how to make and shouldn't be on the menu until you learn. Meatloaf smothered in a dark gravy, steak didn't get to medium cause they were in a hurry. Service was good, that's the 3 stars. Done
