This was my first visit to Carolina Ale House. This sportsbar theme restaurant has a pool table, darts and multiple flat screen TV to watch sports. I ordered spinach dip with pita bread, Buffalo wings (half spicy, half garlic) and fried pickles. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The spinach dip was life changing. Especially since I don't usually like spinach dip. The fried pickles sooth my cravin... View all feedback.
What Rex Kunze doesn't like about Carolina Ale House:
So, after sitting on the dirty table #2, we finally found clean sitting. our waitress was beautiful enough and attentive. eating took a hot minute to get out, but surprisingly 3 out of 4 of us really enjoyed eating. tacos were great, buffalo chicken sluice was excellent and the philly of my wife was very good. #4 had the nashville hot chicken sandwich, not great. lettuce was dark and the sandwich looked not appetizin... The staff appeared to be very busy and overwhelmed during our visit. We waited for 45 minutes before our food arrived. Our waitress was friendly, but when we requested to speak to the manager, Casey, she displayed rudeness and disinterest in addressing our concerns about the service. We came all the way from Charlotte with high hopes, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. This will be our first and last time dining at this restaurant.
We have been going to Duckworths for years. One night we really needed some thing closer to home and quicker. We tried Carolina ale House and it blew Duckworths out of the water. They are Philly cheesesteak never lack in flavor and is delicious. The wings are really good And always taste fresh. They're also open really late, which is a plus in this area since everything closes early. Also, we have not eaten in person but every time we pick up food, it always seems like a good time and they either have a DJ or karaoke going.
I would love to be able to say how the food was but when my friends and I came here 3 hours before closing, the host said The manager said not to seat anybody until he gives me the go-ahead. There was an influx of people due to a concert ending nearby, so I understand being caught off guard; however, leaving folks in limbo by just saying Wait here for an undetermined amount of time, sorry. Lol was lowkey triflin '. At the very least, as a manager, don 't leave the host out to dry, come out and let folks know what 's going on, or say a simple Sorry for the wait, but we 're understaffed right now. Something!
My husband and I came on a Friday night. It wasn't packed and we were sat right away. We were ordering with our eyes. The loaded fries and boneless wings were good. The artichoke dip was also good. It was better with the pets bread than the chips. The chips were salty. I ordered the Philly cheese steak. I didn't get a ton of meat and the bread fell apart so I ended up taking it home. Overall the food was good.
What a great experience and service on Super Bowl Sunday. Staffing appeared staggered at 2pm and made perfect sense. Game time is 630p sharp. My order was to go due to unexpected guests. Everything was great and cooked to perfection. No complaints at all. Had the hand battered and fried wings, and the artisan 5 cheese spinach dip (awesome stuff made with 5 cheeses, spinach, cream cheese, along with pita and chips). Got the roasted salmon with a vegetable rice pilaf, roasted veggies with a cilantro lime crena. The calabash platter was seafood yummy. Fried shrimp and flounder, with coleslaw, cocktail sauce, and beer battered fries. Happy happy joy joy!
