What Samuel L doesn't like about Barney's Hickory Pit:
2 years ago we tried the New Barney 's after the new staff took it over. The brown sauce that Barney 's was famous for no longer tasted like it did at the original Barney 's . It tasted like somebody added instant mashed potato mix to it! But....... Maybe after reading so many of the positive comments we might give it another go. Maybe. I hope they got from Barney himself or Rod, or their children the original recipe to restore the brown sauce to its original deliciousness not like instant mashed potatoes!.
I am not one to forget the last 2 visits, because they were not very good, but I must admit, something has changed at our local bbq place.. I ordered a complete shelf...

We took part in the panini, so a while ago. Food was good, ribs were good, sauce was not excessively seasoned. The chicken was juicy. Didn't fly me, but it was good.
