What Josephene T doesn't like about Aung Maylika:
I didn 't want to be that person , but I 'm with the rest of 1 and 2 stars reviewers. I am shocked this place has 4.5 stars. I ordered takeout and the taste/ look of my meals were like 5 day old leftovers. I couldn 't eat anything, $40 went to the trash after 2 bites. Pumpkin pork: the pork smelt like swine, pumpkin was over cooked and mushy, bad flavor. The green beans looked lifeless; old/pruny/colorless, tastes li... View all feedback.
Excellent! Tea Leaf Salad is definitely recommended. Will go there again and again, especially when they get their fleet license. Nicely decorated and very good service. There for lunch and the prices are reasonable. You can set the spiciness to your tolerance on each plate. Easy parking, but you need to turn U when coming from north to Contra Costa Blvd. Update: this place is still tops. If you have never done Burmese food before, please give this place a try. You have a full bar and the drinks are top notch. Looks like they're booking for parties as the place is well decorated. Have fun.
Great lunch experience. Beatrice was a great host and server. I sat in the terrace that could cool a bit. The interiors look outdated and ready for a makeover. Service was great, although like the Burmese wings before the main course. we ordered the tea leaf salad. Very tasteful and with crisp addons . Spicy noodles.. Garlic eggplants.. Pepper beef and grapes roasted chicken.. Cocktails were good. The spicy mescal.. tequla mule were ok, but the Bourbon cocktail was made super.topped by with a crispy banana jackfruit jumproll and tea ice. fantastic! Great first experience and again for more.
I once ate with friends in this restaurant and enjoyed the food. I decided to order. Everything was exceptional, but I ordered the salt and pepper chicken and I got a deep fried dish that I think is chicken. It's okay. But honestly, I wouldn't have ordered it. But I'll order from here again. Everything is very fresh and delicious.
Rich portions, delicious dishes, inexpensive! The pea shoots were on the salty side, but overall a great meal! Also friendly service and unusual wine list for a Burmese restaurant. Wonderful experience!
More flavor than Burma Superstar and way less expensive. Staff is so friendly!!! If I lived near here, I would come once a week. So yummy. Coconut rice flavor and texture is perfect. Tea leaf salad a must!
