What Trudie Koepp doesn't like about Vicentina Fine Italian Foods:
this is an interesting restaurant / butcher shop / grocery store located in an industrial park north of toronto. we had heard very good things about her lunch, especially porchetta, so a group of us decided to try. after. the literature is porchetta a traditional Italian pork dish, which is spiced and roasted with crumble and spines. that we all had, it was a good sandwich, but I wouldn't say it was a great sandwich.... If you're looking for a delicious sandwich at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. Whether you choose the steak, porchetta, veal, or any other sandwich, it's always fresh and the bread is tasty. Perfect for a quick bite. We've also ordered catering from them and it was excellent!
Prices are high but the taste is good. They always screw up something, even when they’re not busy and this time was no exception, they left out the rapini, for which I paid extra. This is consistently a problem, like adding meat to a veggie...sandwich. Please pay more attention.
Whenever I find myself in the Vaughan area, I always make sure to stop by Vicentina for either a delicious grilled steak or porchetta sandwich. Although the title may be misspelled (in case you have trouble finding it on your GPS), the food here is top-notch. While all of the options are delicious, the steak and porchetta sandwiches are definitely worth the money. Personally, I love adding rapini, a mix of hot and sweet peppers, and cheese as toppings. It may cost a few extra bucks, but it turns the sandwich into a satisfying meal. Both meat choices are excellent, and they also offer a great selection of Italian ingredients, seafood, and meats. Their sausages and grass-fed beef are particularly impressive. Whether you're looking for a tasty sandwich, ingredients for an authentic Italian meal, or meats for a BBQ, Vicentina is a must-visit spot.
I had a steak sandwich with twee and mushrooms. it was the best steak sandwich I ever had. the steak spice they use is so good, I had to buy a bottle to go home with me.
I was a long-term customer at vincentina, but I must say I am very disappointed in them now, during this covid pandemic, they were offering curbside pickup so that they called and placed their order via the phone and they said they could not. they have the price because they don't know what it was at the arrival, surprise! each box ordered was 15 to 20 dollars more than what I usually pay, price gouging to it is best to make this facility a hell of much money and use when people go through hard times, some even with hardships that end up just wrong. keep their prices on this wise and soon enough they will close the doors for good!
