This hotel is situated on the seafront at Concarneau, beautiful location and excellent views. We had a ground floor disabled room, in which we have stayed a few times before. Though excellent bathroom facilities the whole room needs decorating, there is a patch of damp in one corner and it is tired. We could not get WiFi in the room , and had to walk to the reception area, not easy for someone who has great difficult... View all feedback.
What Adrienne Foucher doesn't like about Restaurant Hotel de l'ocean:
Day trip to Biarritz from Spain. Spoilt by good food at value prices. Walking the town which was dead this looked a good spot for lunch. Right, good location. Friendly service. Food good from varied menu...but price? No, sorry compare to meal this evening...back in Spain we paid less for 2 course meal drinks (bottle of wine 3 ciders) than 1 course 2 glasses of wine here. Poor value View all feedback.
We were on a `half board` basis for 2 days. Breakfasts were good, with a variety of foods available and well presented. Evening meals a good choice of menu
The seafood starter platter was huge & very enjoyable. My wife had the pork which she said was perfect & I ate the Brill which was part of the evening set menu & was outstanding. I finished with the cheese platter which was more than I could handle & my wife had the sorbet which she said half the bar swimming around it & made her go wide eyed. We washed it all down with a bottle of house Muscadet which was wonderful. One of the best value meals we had in France, highly recommend.
Personnel excellent, graceful, efficient, nice, some time for discussion food is great, just top, first rate, fresh out of the sea, for demanding customers very nice position, view on the west, at sea, very nice at sunset
The food was very good, plenty of choice and very well presented. Wines varied in price but some reasonable ones. Lovely sitting by the window looking across at the sea. was very quiet in March.
