The hostess was very friendly and... read more My boyfriend and I ate at Amoré last night. Neither of us had been there before, and really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere! The hostess was very friendly and we were seated right away at 5:30 on a Friday without a reservation. Mark, our server was very kind and obviously genuinely enjoys his job! My boyfriend and I ordered a specialty appetizer, the Lobster Risotto with shrimp, and the Lobster Ravioli. It took about 30 minutes for the appetizer to come out (though we really enjoyed it! and almost two hours from sitting down to our food arriving after ordering about 10 minutes after being seated. Mark told us that another server had grabbed our food thinking it was for his table which prolonged our wait significantly. He brought us a complimentary soup of the day while we waited. By the time the food did come (delivered by the server who had accidentally grabbed our food and did not seem particularly apologetic about it my boyfriend and I were both kind of over the experience with long waits and ready to just head out. We ate for about 15 minutes (the food was good, not great and then it took another 20 to get the bill (came with a complimentary taste of the tirimisu get it payed for (I had to flag down the hostess to ask if we were supposed to pay at the front with her because our card had been on the table for so long and finally get out the door. Mark definitely realized that this experience was not up to par (and I wholeheartedly believe that this is not a typical experience at Amoré and did his best to make it right. Overall, Amoré is a cute and personable restaurant. Be okay with long wait times and it being pretty pricey for good food. The price tag would be more appropriate if the service had been better.

Excellent Italian restaurant, the owner is really a fantastic person and speaks Italian very well.
