Mr. Menudo Oficial - Compton

I visited the restaurant on Saturday at 7 AM, but it wasn't ready for customers. There were no Gorditas available, only Menudo and Torta de Chilaquiles. I was disappointed because the Torta de Chilaquiles had no milanesa, just asada, and the chilaquiles lacked flavor. The Menudo was missing the pata and tasted predominantly like beef, which I didn't enjoy. Honestly, it wasn’t worth the price. Also, let people know that this location doesn’t serve tamales with chilaquiles!

I visited on Sunday morning at around 6:40 AM, and the website stated that they opened at 6:00 AM. However, they were just beginning to arrive, and since I had already driven there, I had to wait about 20 minutes. This was unacceptable; they need to address their misleading hours to avoid wasting customers' time. I most likely won’t return to spend my money here. Food rating: 4/5.

My experience was not what I anticipated. I saw an advertisement for tamales served with chilaquiles, but on two separate visits, they were unavailable. The chilaquiles themselves lacked flavor and were cold upon arrival. I don’t plan on returning.

I have never been so disappointed in a food choice like today. For starters the menudo was not warm. I ordered one large menudo (no grain no pata) just menudo. I order another small one with grain and pata. The large one was just broths that was not even warm. The broth lacked any flavor. If I wanted colored broth come on down. The broth needed salt. The small one had more grain than anything else. You get tortillas were actually warmer than the broth. Btw the delivery took under 10 minutes to get to me so it shouldn’t have even been lukewarm. Makes me wonder if they keep the Menudo at the safe temperature. They give you yellow lemons. Not limes. Cilantro, oregano, onions and chili flakes. Would I recommend this place. Nope I personally wouldn’t maybe it’s good for some but for me I need a broth that has flavor and a deep rich flavor. My take away from this was the tortillas were the only good part of this meal. I’m glad I ordered both sizes to be able to compare.
