Yuck. food/service still good, but the stinky smoke will keep us away til winter comes.

Unfortunately after the food was delivered and first drinks finished no one came by....it was a birthday celebration we would have lingered on the beautiful patio with coffee and dessert but no one came by , met our eye , scanned the table ...wow. Plus a huge deterrent in this incredible setting were smokers . The patio portion for non smokers looked like a rough overhang where spare tables are stored. Would go back for the food but if service doesn't improve wouldn't go back again.

The Griffin Pub is an aviation-themed pub bordering 19 Wing Comox, and seems less than what I remember from the late 90's.But I took my father Frank and son Mat... read more The Griffin Pub is an aviation-themed pub bordering 19 Wing Comox, and seems less than what I remember from the late 90's.But I took my father Frank and son Matt there since my return to the valley for some food, drinks and piano music, but the piano player only started much after our timings, probably my fault.We made the best of our visit and Matt ordered about 8 or more of their food samplings which made for an exciting, interesting, and tasty afternoon out.Okay place, good service, but could be more inviting to newcomers.

As a former employee of over 20 years I can object to the above review. large group of long-term employees who have worked in the kitchen for over 20-15 years.... read more As a former employee of over 20 years I can object to the above review. large group of long-term employees who have worked in the kitchen for over 20-15 years. they have tried and worked hard while trying. time in the hospitality industry . important props to the staff and the management to keep this place open with low employees and trial hours. the above mentioned evaluation sounds just like a disgruntled hired person who got his **** in a knot covered ignorance because he doesn't get what he wanted. when they are finished stomping their feet in their tantrum, perhaps they leave a review on hard work and dedication.

They use frozen burger patties, serve outdated fish kept in the walk-in fridge for days, and reheat pre-cooked chicken before service. Despite claiming to offer high-quality seafood, they often cut corners that result in subpar food for customers.
