The bartenders here are among the best in the city! You get a mixture of older and younger bartenders and the trend isn't just hire a bunch of big book chicks to serve idiots beer. The bartenders here know their stuff! The crowd is made up mostly ofworking class people and can lean toward an older demographic depending on what time you go. I ordered a couple days ago so I could bring back food back home to my family after my event. First I order 2 shrimp baskets 13.00) fried pickles 10.00) and a shot of makers mark and my total was 55.00. GREAT BURGERS. Was told to go here by the concierge at my hotel, he called it a dive bar with great food. I concur with the great food, but I wouldn 't call it a dive bar. It 's got a bit of a dive bar aesthetic if you gentrified a dive bar. That being said, it 's a fun place to go with a good sized bar, table seating, a small outdoor area, and a pool table. The bartender was great and the burger, seriously, the burger, was bomb. I highly suggest you get the EAST COAST burger. I 've never had a pastrami sandwich with a burger patty before and I was astounded at how good it was. I wish I lived nearby so I could get it more often. Reasonable prices.
Went to The Block last night really enjoyed myself. I had Birria and a House Salad, when I tell you the food is amazing. Great job to the kitchen manager, you have great hospitality.
Good little bar. Bartenders are great but can be very slow. Food was pretty good.
Stopped in with my grandson for a quick bite. Service was great and food was especially to his liking.
This place is great. The food is good. The bartender is super friendly. The chef even brought us samples and talked at the table with us for a bit. I’ll be back for sure.
