This beach restaurant/bar has undergone a transformation since last year. The bridge over the river, which used to smell, has been renovated. There is now a small roof terrace overlooking the river. The exterior is covered in corrugated metal, painted a vibrant purple and decorated with scribbles, giving it the appearance of a cow barn rather than a welcoming establishment. A new addition this year is the venue Meu Pai Lugar, located in the garden area of the bar. Despite the billboard outside promoting cheap beer, we didn't feel compelled to give it a try.
The restaurant was very quiet when we went, we spoke with the staff and they said they had only been open just over a year so they were still trying to make them selves known, the food was really tasty and great value for money,...no complaints about anything, the only reason I give it 4 was because of the atmosphere as it was quiet and some of the other customers were trying to put something up on the tv. Best thing of all was that they even offer you a free lift back to your hotel, this is such a great idea and we very grateful for that gesture. Would definatley recommend a visit just for the great food
We had been to this restaurants several times, in previous visits to Goa. It has always been a pleasure. However this time I was amazed by the wonderful changes. There are new modern toilets and washing facilities. The open plan modern kitchen looked amazing. It...is more family friendly, with a kiddies pool, and a lovely bar. Frank the owner/chef was realy friendly and helpful. It is a hidden gem, just off the beach.
We passed here a few times, the youngest one was on Sunday 10. October. The restaurant is no longer torn off the buildings, including the kitchen that the restaurant was formed. It is now a party spot with access to the... End of the place through the gate.
What a fantastic discovery! During our first day in Goa, my friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the charming caravan that served us drinks on the beach, and decided to have a meal there. The food, service, and staff did not disappoint later in the evening. As a vegan, I was pleased to find that there were plenty of options for me. The dishes were delicious, generous portions, and reasonably priced. We returned multiple times during our stay, and I even had the opportunity to visit the kitchen and learn how to cook some of the dishes myself. A special touch was when they offered to drive us back to our hotel after dinner, which was very kind. My only complaint is that they do not deliver to the UK. I highly recommend Greenland Garden - it's a hidden gem with wonderful staff, a fabulous beach, beautiful sunsets, and the option to take a beer from the restaurant to enjoy by the sea.
