Tucked away in the shade and reached by cross... read more Although only a few steps away from Gonsua beach, anyone not arriving by road would not be aware of its existence. Tucked away in the shade and reached by crossing a small bridge, this restaurant is a true oasis, run by Roger and Claire.The food is of the highest quality, and I believe the chicken kolaphuri that I had on several occasions is the best I have had in India. On Sundays there is usually an English roast dinner on the menu in the evening, but a reservation is essential as the restaurant is usually full. On other evenings there are occasional themed nights such as Italian night. It is a very relaxed friendly atmosphere with excellent food, and first class service all very reasonably priced. Will certainly return next year.

The atmosphere is great in this small but friendly restaurant with a multi cuisine menu, on this occasion we enjoyed a superb fish lunch.

There is now a sma... read more This beach restaurant/bar has undergone a transformation since last year. The bridge over the river, which used to smell, has been renovated. There is now a small roof terrace overlooking the river. The exterior is covered in corrugated metal, painted a vibrant purple and decorated with scribbles, giving it the appearance of a cow barn rather than a welcoming establishment. A new addition this year is the venue Meu Pai Lugar, located in the garden area of the bar. Despite the billboard outside promoting cheap beer, we didn't feel compelled to give it a try.

The restaurant was very quiet when we went, we spoke with the staff and they said they had only been open just over a year so they were still trying to make the... read more The restaurant was very quiet when we went, we spoke with the staff and they said they had only been open just over a year so they were still trying to make them selves known, the food was really tasty and great value for money,...no complaints about anything, the only reason I give it 4 was because of the atmosphere as it was quiet and some of the other customers were trying to put something up on the tv. Best thing of all was that they even offer you a free lift back to your hotel, this is such a great idea and we very grateful for that gesture. Would definatley recommend a visit just for the great food
