This place is a true gem! I grew up here, and my friends and I used to visit often. The service and food were always exceptional, and last night was no exception! Thank you for being such a longstanding part of this community. Wildflower Café is one of the highlights of Columbus, and it will be greatly missed. View all feedback.
On our first breakfast visit, we made it a point to order the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, along with the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. If a diner can’t get these breakfast classics right, they’re not worthy of our business. Fortunately, Wildflower Cafe proved to be worthy! The sausage gravy was rich and full of chunks of sausage, paired with flaky buttermilk biscuits. The crispy corned beef hash and two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs were delightful, along with rye toast and endless coffee. The lovely Mrs. Rat opted for the Spinach Bacon Omelette with rye toast. It looked delicious, and she confirmed it was, though she didn’t even offer me a bite! The crowd was quite varied, and there was plenty of space to move around. The atmosphere was relaxed, avoiding any hipster or trendy vibes. The breakfast menu offered a generous selection of items, including a wide range of egg dishes often found in trendier places. My only minor complaint is that the toast wasn’t really toasted; it was barely browned. However, with the biscuits on my plate, I didn’t mind much. The service was excellent. We also noticed that the lunch and dinner menus looked promising, so we plan to return to try those offerings. With new apartments being built just north of the cafe, I have no doubt it will become even more popular. I just hope they don’t change a thing!
The Saturday special of fried chicken is absolutely incredible! It’s cooked to perfection. The customer service is excellent, and I’m always welcomed with a smile. I’ll definitely be returning soon—delicious!
I just hope they put the two interior doors back up before winter...
Awesome place with excellent food Charlie our waiter did a wonderful job. Our first time there. Had the raspberry BBQ pork chops. Delicious. Moist and tender. Wife had the wiener schnitzel which was very tender. And to top it all off they have jackiO beer in cans and were running a special on $5 maker's mark old fashioneds. Wll definitely be back.
Great value. Great neighborhood restaurant. It reminds me of being in a small town. The food is consistently good and the value is great. They also have great desserts and serve alcohol!
