The Barrel And Bottle - Columbus

This is the only bar currently in the North Market. It has 2 3 small tables and 5 6 seats at the bar. It is nice that they have a place for those who want to sip and browse. My husband and I found room in the bar on Saturday afternoon. When we sat a bartender, the ladies (3 of them) came back when they went out to smoke. Why didn't anyone stay back and rescue seats? Why did the bartender leave 1/2 of his seats empty for 15 20 minutes? We sat down anyway and when people came back, they asked my husband to move. He was a gentleman. I then realized that these ladies must be friends with the bartender, as I heard he gave them special prices while also saving their seats. Three of the articles we ordered were not in stock. We also heard other males order from stock items. I look forward to the expansion of the North Market including another bar with more space and better choice and service for all ..not only bartender friend service.

Unbelievable selection for a place of this size. Designs and bartenders always make me smile.

Every beer on tap is a local brew. Gotta love that a local business is supporting other locals! I tried Land Grant 's Del Boca Vista which was light but very flavorful. They have a full bar including a good wine list. Best of all, if you find something you like, just walk a few steps and purchase it from their shop. The bartender us the option to enjoy the food we bought at another stand in North Market or serve my beer in a traveller (IYKYK) so could eat upstairs.

Great beer and wine selection, prices are good too.
