Sermat African - Columbus
Sermat African
Description
Relocated to 2009 E Dublin‑Granville Rd, this spot serves authentic West African comfort food — waakye, peanut‑butter soup and hearty stews — with generous portions and good value. Many praise the clean, homey setting, friendly pockets of service and convenient takeout options, but experiences vary: order mixups, uneven freshness and occasional unprofessional staff undermine reliability. With clearer kitchen consistency and stronger staff training this neighborhood favorite could easily solidify its strong reputation.

This restaurant has relocated to 2009 E Dublin Granville Road. I ordered jollof rice and chicken, but it was quite disappointing. The rice and chicken didn’t taste fresh at all, and I regretted spending $17.51 on it. In the past, when I ordered from Sermat, I was usually satisfied, but yesterday’s meal was far from acceptable. I sincerely hope that you can provide your customers with fresh and quality food in the future.
The fufu and goat here transport me straight back to Benin. Whenever I'm yearning for the flavors of West Africa, this is the only place that delivers.
This restaurant is now called The Dish and is located on Dublin-Granville Road. I have been a regular customer here for over a year, and I absolutely adore their peanut butter soup. I highly recommend this place! The staff is very friendly, and the food is excellent.
The location moved 7 minutes away and it's not on Google. However, we traveled 2 hours for this food and it was great!!
