Beet salad was so delicious and the staff was beyond friendly. The courtyard is one of my favorite little escapes in Columbus. Great place to relax and zone out for a bit.
Got a good Americano iced coffee (they have that and house blend) and sat outside in their beautiful shaded sculpture garden. The staff was more than nice, and fun to joke around with. We thought the name, Schokko Cafe, was a cutesy way of saying the coffee is strong enough to shock you to your senses. However it turns out it is named after a painting in the museum which was named after a nickname the artist gave to his model. It means chocolate and he gave her the name because she liked hot chocolate so much. This is the painting.
Evan is an absolute GEM. He always goes above and beyond to make sure that his guests are not only happy but delighted his energy is infectious his kindness is unmatched and I am always excited to see him when I visit the museum. What an asset to this cultural beacon for Columbus!!! We live Evan!!!
