Wow! I absolutely loved it! I was in Dayton and decided to check out some diners, drive-ins, and dives. I discovered this gem and I'm so glad I did! Thank you so much!
I tried the burgers that are only available on Fridays, and they were overwhelmingly salty! I couldn't detect any smokiness in the flavor at all. I'm not sure what has happened to the food on Town Street, but it's definitely changed. There's a new guy running things, and his cooking is terrible. From now on, I'll only be going to the location on North High Street; they have regular staff there who know how to grill and prepare good BBQ!
The BBQ was disappointing. There wasn't enough sauce, and the Burnt Ends weren't worth trying. However, the mac and cheese was quite tasty.
I understand that some ground beef stays a little pink when fully cooker, but this burger was cold to the touch and still mushy in the middle..If I get food poisoning, I'll know where it's from.
