My meal was excellent as was the service. However, my nephew's son ordered the steak well done and we had to send it back the first time because it was very rare. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and it was returned cooked on the outside edge but once he got to the middle it was still rare and he couldn't eat it like that. What Kara Stephens doesn't like about Mark's City Grill:
We’ve been loyal customers for years but last night when we ordered to-go food it was ridiculously bad! My mom’s steak bites were WAY over seasoned and WAY too tough to chew. My grilled chicken looked just a tad pink still and the entire piece of meat was so tough it was entirely inedible and our dinners wound up being just our sides of mashed potatoes and a salad we split. I love the pounded pork cutlets here. The lemon butter sauce just explodes with flavor in your mouth. I definitely recommend trying it.
Great food, but a little heavy on the salt in the mashed potatoes! Key lime pie was awesome!!
Made reservation over phone then got there and they didn't have any tables. On the phone they said all was good for the reservation tonight then when we got there they said they don't do reservations on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition, they had a party of people there who were fighting and threatening to kill people. Not sure if they called the police because we were there 20 mins and no police came. The people yelling and acting crazy weren't asked to leave either. Definitely not what I am use to at this restaurant. Quite a disappointment.
The food is always great here and the staff are always helpful and nice. It can be a little dark in there to read the menu. They have a good assortment of foods, and all that I have tried so far have been GREAT. I recommend this place to many people.
