Kfc - Columbus
Kfc
Description
At this KFC location customers report a patchy fast-food experience: malfunctioning drive‑thru intercom and dark menu boards complicate ordering, while staff attitude is frequently brisk or rude. Orders are inconsistently filled — signature bowls have arrived missing chicken, cheese, or sides — and advertised meal components like drinks and cookies sometimes go missing. Former patrons call the food uninspired and the service unreliable, leaving many disappointed and unlikely to return. The restaurant’s neighborhood and operational lapses further dent its appeal.

I used to work at this restaurant and was just stopping by to pick up my boyfriend after his shift, haha. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the food, just like when I worked there!
I recently went to the drive-thru and faced a few problems. The intercom seemed to be malfunctioning, or perhaps the employee at the window had trouble hearing, as he had difficulty understanding my order and was quite discourteous. The car in front of me had a similar situation and left without getting their order. I wouldn’t recommend this place; it's really not in a great area.
The drive-thru menu lights were completely out when I visited. The woman working there was quite rude and kept rushing me as if I were "on a timer." Even though I explained that I just wanted to browse and didn’t need help, she repeatedly asked if I needed assistance. It was challenging to see anything since the menu was dark, and instead of being understanding, she responded with sarcasm. When I matched her attitude, she refused to serve me. I will never return to this KFC. Later, an hour after my visit, I drove by after getting Subway and noticed that the menu lights were partially functioning, so I stopped to take a picture. This was a notable improvement compared to my earlier experience.
Every time we visit this restaurant, it ends up being a disappointment. The famous bowl, which is advertised as a highlight of the menu, didn't impress me at all. It contained only five ingredients, and they forgot to add the chicken and cheese. Instead, all I got was corn, potatoes, and gravy. How is it possible for a place like Kentucky Fried Chicken to run out of chicken for their signature dish? It was really disappointing. Moreover, a meal at KFC is supposed to come with a food item, a drink, and a cookie, but none of the meals we ordered included the cookie or drink. It was a frustrating experience, and I felt let down. Farewell, Columbus.
This was my second disappointing visit to the same KFC location, where the manager appeared to show a clear bias against Latina women. It's unfortunate that the company chose to promote someone like her to a managerial position. During my 20-minute observation, I noticed customers being treated with obvious disrespect, as if the staff were irritated and exhausted while people were trying to order and look at the menu. If she struggles to work in a restaurant that serves a large Latino community, perhaps it’s time for her to consider a different job. She simply seemed unhappy and unpleasant.
