High Horse Vegan Pizzas in Columbus presents a mixed bag for diners. While some appreciate the generous portion sizes and quality toppings—like the crowd-pleasing Chorizo Supreme and Buffalo Chick'n—others express disappointment over the limited vegan options and pricing. Critics argue that the restaurant misrepresents itself as fully vegan, noting a drastic cut in available choices. Despite these concerns, many patrons enjoy the nostalgic, satisfying flavors reminiscent of classic New York-style pizza. The vibrant atmosphere, paired with an onsite bar, makes it a favorable spot for gatherings, especially for those seeking vegan alternatives in a family-friendly setting.

I’m easily irked out by vegan cheese and have really missed the full pizza experience (usually order pizza from a non vegan place but without cheese), this is the closest I’ve gotten to tasting like a non-vegan pizza! The cheese was still kind of gummy though, but I haven’t come across one that isn’t, and this pizza didn’t go overboard on the cheese which I like. I built my own and put basil, pepperoni, and banana pe... View all feedback.
What TaraSmith dislikes about High Horse:
I gave this restaurant a one-star rating. It appears that HappyCow automatically awards a star to fully vegan restaurants, but this establishment is not completely vegan as there are only two options available. I have submitted an update to HappyCow regarding this. View all feedback.
There is only one vegan pizza option now, so the restaurant is no longer fully vegan. The pizza wasn't fantastic, but it also wasn't terrible.

When I come home to Columbus to visit my family, I usually make a stop here to pick up a pie. Even though I’m the only vegan in the family, everybody enjoys the pizza even my grandpa who is a huge carnivore. As an added bonus you can have a drink while you wait for your pizza because this place is inside a great bar too.
I've been interested in trying their pizza stone they opened, but the price was a little high for us. We splurged tonight and got the Chorizo Supreme pizza. This pizza could easily feed 3 hungry people. We were impressed by the garlicky crust and the generous toppings. It reminded us of old school pizza. We are fans of Follow Your Heart cheese too. We will definitely order from them again. Considering the size and quality, it's worth the price.
