Feedback
Barcelona Restaurant and Bar captivates diners with its vibrant atmosphere and delectable food, particularly the acclaimed paella. Visitors rave about the quality of the dishes and the extensive wine selection, making it a top choice for special occasions. However, several patrons have voiced concerns over inconsistent service, ranging from inattentiveness to pushy waitstaff. While many leave pleased and eager to return, the experience is occasionally marred by subpar service and minor culinary misses. Overall, this establishment is praised for its potential and charm but should refine its service to truly elevate the dining experience.
Love everything about this place! Foods are sooo good! Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The interior design and the decor are so elegant. Will definitely come back for the patio season.
Our server Lucas was incredibly friendly and attentive. The empanadas were the highlight of the meal, the best I've ever tasted. The seafood paella was decent, but nothing exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming and inviting.
Gosh I hate to give less than five stars to any place that seems like it’s really trying but for presenting itself as a semi upscale experience it is not as good as I’d hoped. I’ve had a lot of tapas experiences; including Spain and beyond. Some ofmy favorites have been in places like Colorado and Washington of all the strange occurrences. Therefor I’m not afraid to lovea Columbus, Ohio small plate if it’s worthy! The service was excellent and the ambience just as good. I will say that thehouse paella’s seem to be one of their noteworthy offerings amongst others we did not order. What we ordered was well preparedand seemingly fresh, with a few exceptions such as the chorizo with the beans. It seemed a little hard to place as fresh orotherwise or poorly seasoned or salted etc. A lot of really simple dishes that just needed flare, and flavor. For example aclassic tapas of “Patatas Bravas”, the potatoes were really nicely prepared although slightly large for simply biting, alittle sauce on top but nothing in the middle and some tomato compote or so on in the bottom of the dish. But widely the dishwas just a potato and no more or less. The polenta and chorizo was another underwhelming dish, I mean honestly… Chorizocrumbles in a Parmesan polenta, and micro greens as a garnish on EVERYTHING, which felt thoughtless and insecure as you oftenhear of chefs with little imagination. It just lacked dimension, even salt and I usually scoff at the habit of Americans ofsalting everything. You can imagine all you like but my meal was not 5 star, it was 4 and I’m being friendly, but that ispurely my opinion. For the price it demands better, I’m sorry. Thank you for the experience we remain grateful.
We adore Barcelona for its distinctive cuisine. We've visited multiple times since moving to Columbus for our anniversary, and we've never been let down. The staff is excellent, and we really enjoy the atmosphere on the patio. I highly recommend it if you appreciate the things mentioned above and prefer smaller dishes. It's truly a delightful experience for your taste buds. In my opinion, it's best to leave the kids at home.
