Xenia Greek Kouzina - Columbia

The food here is excellent and the service is decent, but I’m giving it only 2 stars because we had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration, and it took over an hour to settle the bill. Instead of individual checks, we were all required to identify our orders on a single bill, and we had to place our initials along with the last four digits of our credit card. We're still waiting for it to be processed. Management explained that the delay was due to the computer system and how the orders are sent to the kitchen in order for us to receive our meals together. This is simply unacceptable. We are still waiting.

We have had an incredible experience each and every time we have eaten at Xenia. The restaurant is beautiful, the food superb, and the staff is just a pleasure.Besnik and Myra were our servers and as I stated earlier, each and every time we've been lucky to have them as our servers. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and as one of our dining guest, said yesterday, the best server he has ever had. We thank you very much, and we continue to be lucky to have this restaurant so close to our homes. It is so deserving of being considered one of Maryland's top 10 restaurants.

We had dinner with some friends as it was their first time. We've been there several times but this time I felt our sever was a little pushy with us ordering appetizers, entrees and desserts. Our appetizers came out before our drinks. Even after it still took some time to get our drinks. Then, as we're enjoying our appetizers, I felt we were pressured to order our entrees right now. Our 2nd round of drinks we were told they didn't have Blanton's whiskey if it's ok to substitute Basil Hayden. We were fine with that but still charge for the Blanton's which was more expensive and I didn't noticed until our card was charged. While having our dessert, we haven't asked for the check and she brought it right away. I'm definitely disappointed was a bad experience for our first timer friends the joined us for dinner.

The waiter was incredibly personable! He was attentive, friendly, and truly seemed interested in our lives. He offered excellent recommendations for both the wine and food menus, and he regularly checked in on us. The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning!

Xenia is a special place. The food and service are outstanding and the decor is spectacular. My only complaint are the prices. We eat out a lot and Xenia's prices are significantly higher than comparable restaurants. That being said, we will continue to frequent Xenia!
