after ordering an old fashioned for the first time and realizing whiskey tastes like how paint thinner smells, the waitress comped it and i got probably the best beer ive ever had instead. entirely my fault yet she had my back. i felt like a king in that moment, a high ive been chasing ever since. the pot roast was phenomenal and so was the carrot cake. interior decor is comforting, roomy, and a near perfect median b... What Bridgette Huel doesn't like about Barred Owl Butcher Table:
The food was fantastic, but some of the staff were not very attentive. This place deserves a 5-star rating. We had to wait quite a while for a table because it was a Sunday and a family weekend at the university, but it wasn't very busy and cleared out while we were there. Our waiter was not very attentive and seemed to be absent most of the time. We had to go find him to get our check because he didn't check on us a... View all feedback.
I only visited the butcher shop! Pastrami, bread, Lomo-Embuchado, cheese? EVERYTHING was an incredible experience. I can't wait to try the brunch!
First off everyone who works here is amazing and friendly and polite, service was AMAZING!! Now the food, the meat board was delicious and exciting, the bread was amazing, the drinks were fantastic.... and then we got our dinner. Lambchops for her and lamb ragu for myself, both were beyond delicious and everything was perfect. Lemon icebox pie was refreshing and tasty.... Overall I would come here over and over as their menu is ever changing!
Abby was terrific, and the menu exceptional as usual. They have an extensive list of shrubs and speciality drinks, both nonalcoholic and boozy if you prefer. Flavor driven by house cured meats.
Amazing! We went for Sunday brunch and had the poutine, biscuits and gravy, grits and a ham, bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. All were were better than my highest expectations! Could tell the ingredients were all high quality, but the execution of the dishes was superb. I haven't had grits this good since living on the coast, and I had all but forgotten that home fries could be crispy. We sat on the patio, and was really happy to see that the tables were nicely distanced, the servers all had proper COVID PPE, and they went the extra step of having hand sanitizer on the table. Despite this the atmosphere was really nice, and our server Mckenzie was fantastic. Absolutely on the very top of our list. Thanks to the owners and staff for making our day! Edit: Made it for dinner, and it was even more amazing than brunch. This place is so good!
The best cocktail program in Columbia. The food is made almost entirely in house, lots of rotating items on the menu, worth trying anything at least once. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
